The Values Behind Homebass

As Homebass ramps up heading into 2026, we wanted to take a moment to share the values behind what we’re building.

Homebass started from a simple idea: create a space where DJs can play the music they love without the restrictions that often come with traditional gigs. After years of performing in the wedding and corporate scene through Homebrewed DJs, we saw first-hand how limited those environments can be creatively. They serve a purpose, but they rarely give DJs the chance to fully express their sound.

Homebass exists to change that.

Our goal is to create a platform where DJs can experiment, grow, and connect with others who share the same passion for underground electronic music. Through open decks and curated events, Homebass is helping grow a dedicated electronic music community in Tauranga, giving both emerging and experienced DJs a place to perform.

As the platform continues to develop, the values we operate by become even more important. They guide how we run events, support artists, and shape the atmosphere at every Homebass DJ event in Tauranga.
