HBDJ Weekly Update – Week 22

Another week down — just the one gig to report back on this time around.

It took us a little while to get going on the night, but once we found our rhythm everything started to fall into place. The crowd was leaning pretty heavily into rock, which isn’t usually our cup of tea, but we managed to steer things around toward some 2000s throwbacks and even slipped in a cheeky Justin Bieber request for the younger crowd.

Still haven’t quite got around to editing our little wedding vlog, but that’s high on the list for this week. Most of the editing time lately has gone into B2B Roulette, and the sets from the night will start rolling out from tomorrow morning. Looking forward to getting those out there.

We’ve also locked in the date for this month’s Open Decks, which will be back at Mount Tavern on March 27th. The lineup has just been confirmed, so keep an eye out for the promo dropping during the week.

Michael spent most of this week down in Christchurch getting some well-earned rest after an unexpected hospital visit related to existing health stuff. It’s been a bit of a rough few months for him with family stress as well, so getting out of town for a bit was definitely needed.

As for me, I’ve just been rostered at the day job every weekend for the next month, so you might see a little less of us out on the dance floor until that frees up again.

Still plenty happening behind the scenes though.
