HBDJ Weekly Update – Week 23

Blog dayyyyy.

This week at Homebrewed we’ve mostly been working away behind the scenes, getting all the B2B Roulette sets out. We dropped one each day, and today the final video went live - the 12 DJ B2B. Pure energy from start to finish. Easily my favourite set from the night… and not just because I make a little guest appearance in it.

We’ve also just announced the March Open Decks line-up. This one is shaping up to be a big one, so we decided to call it the All-Stars Line-Up. Every DJ playing has plenty of experience behind the decks, so it should be a killer night.

Last week we also made a post introducing some of the ‘crew’ members of Homebass. Homebass has always been a community-driven collective, so while there are a few core crew members, there are heaps of people supporting us behind the scenes. If you didn’t get a spotlight, please know we still see the effort and really appreciate everything you do.

Last night we also got a last-minute call-up to play at Mount Tavern. Got the message around 8pm, threw everything in the car, and managed to make it out there for a 9:30pm start. The energy was solid, a few birthdays in the crowd and plenty of people up dancing. We kept things pretty house-focused and started getting a few requests toward the end of the night.

It was also the first time Michael and I played B2B out in town, so you’ll probably start seeing a bit more of that going forward.

Tomorrow our wedding vlog from Lauren & Landau’s big day finally drops. Keen to see how that one performs - if people enjoy it, we might start making a few more.
