HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 53

Good afternoon, team. Right on time this week!

I’ve had a fantastic week starting out at a new daytime hustle. I’m really enjoying it so far and just figuring out how it all fits in with the DJing. Since it’s strictly Monday to Friday with a 5:00 PM finish on Fridays, I’m pretty much free every single weekend now. This is absolutely amazing for us—it frees up so much potential for gigs and other exciting projects on the weekends.

Since this is our last weekly update, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year. Thinking about how far we’ve come as a company and as a brand is absolutely mind-blowing. We’ve grown in ways I never expected, and it’s all thanks to the incredible community around us.

We hosted our final open decks last month, which was a real bittersweet moment. While losing our social media accounts just the other week was a bit of a setback, we haven't let it slow us down. We’ve still managed to host some really cool gigs, and I can’t help but mention the happily married couples we’ve had the honour of playing for this year. There is another big year ahead, and it’s one you’ll really want to be on the ride with us for.

To anyone who has helped us along the way, I just want to say thank you. There are a few people out there I can certainly say that without their help, we really wouldn’t be where we are today. (Looking at you, Joel, if you’re reading this.)

So, to wrap up this final slow week, I want to remind everyone that this is our third year doing this, and our first as an official company. We are still really new to this game. There is still so much to learn, and if you stick around, you’ll see this grow into something truly special.
