HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 2

This week at Homebrewed we DJed the Country Hoe Down — and what a night it was! Line dancing, bull riding, and a crowd full of well-dressed cowboys and cowgirls. It was awesome getting out to play something a bit different, and hone

stly, we had no clue how big the country scene was around here. Everyone had such a great time, and we’ll be sharing some photos and videos over the next week.

Up next, we’ve got a club night at Taste on Saturday 25/10/25. You’ll catch Aimee D, Leviathan, and myself (Jaydo) throwing down from 9pm–1am. We love these Saturday nights — the energy in that room at Taste is always unreal.

Then on Sunday 26/10, we’re back at Voodoo Lounge for our Labour Weekend event: The Final Shift (poster below). This one’s going to be special — for a lot of DJs, Voodoo was the venue where it all started. It’ll be the last chance for many of them to play there before the doors close for good, so expect some emotional closing sets.

We’ve also just announced our Halloween event on 31st October, which will mark Voodoo’s final day trading — our actual “Final Shift.” Even the staff are feeling it, so it’s going to be a bittersweet farewell for everyone involved.

So if you’re keen to get out this long weekend, come say hi — Saturday at Taste, or Sunday at Voodoo for a drink and some top-notch local DJs.
