HBDJ Weekly Update – Week 4

New week, new HBDJ Weekly update! Week 4 has been another pretty busy one for the Homebrewed boys.

Last Sunday we had The Final Shift right after our last blog post — and you all showed up! What an awesome night. Security told us the final numbers in and out sat around 163, which makes it one of our higher door counts at Voodoo Lounge.

After that, it was straight into a full week at our day jobs before kicking off another big weekend.

On Friday, we hosted our Halloween event — Bass Ritual. Another incredible night at Voodoo and exactly how we wanted to send off the venue Homebass style. One of the standout sets of the night came from Dav — that man can mix oil and water when it comes to drum and bass. Unreal stuff.

Then on Saturday, we had the pleasure of DJing the wedding of Tim & Bianca. What a beautiful night celebrating an amazing couple. Honestly, this wedding reception might be one of our favourites to date — vibey house tunes before dinner, followed by some chill DnB, and once the dancing started, we covered just about every genre and singalong you can think of. So much fun.

Not too much planned for this coming week, which will be a well-earned rest for the boys. We are, however, spinning at a corporate dinner this Friday, so you’ll hear all about that one in next week’s wrap!
