HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 29

Good morning, what a weekend it’s been so far. From heavy flavours at Open Decks, to a chiller house night at Rita’s, and a huge day still to come at the Med Lounge.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been doing heaps of work bringing our newly established limited company into the fold. It’s come with a few learning curves, but it’s already pushing us to grow and level up.

We kicked the weekend off strong on Friday night, heading down earlier than usual to make sure the Open Decks setup was dialled. The night opened with trancey flavours before moving into hard techno, tear-out dubstep and more dubstep, possibly one of the first Open Decks we’ve had without a single drum & bass set.

Last night at Rita’s was a bit quieter than usual, but the dancefloor still packed out. We started with groovy house numbers and sat there for most of the night, before nudging the BPM up later and dropping a few tunes, I’ve been keen to play out in town for a while.

As I write this, I’m at the day job - and once I finish, I’ll be racing over to the Med Lounge to play our first gig with Audiology. We’ll be throwing down from 3:30pm – 4:45pm, and this is one you won’t want to miss.

^ Wrote this all on Sunday Pre-Gig, then got very sick for a few days. so only getting around to my weekly update today unfortunately.
