HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 27

Alright, another week wrapped up and a busy one at that.
Opening for HYAN, Mount Tavern, and a wild bit of weather to top it off.
Friday we opened the floor at Mount Classic 2026 at Totara Street. We started things off nice and groovy with some house, then about 45 minutes in we pushed into the UKG lane and let a few proper tunes fly for the last stretch of the set.
Next up was Aimee D, who absolutely tore the place apart, full dancefloor for her whole hour, which was unreal to see. Then HYAN stepped up and delivered exactly what everyone came for. Started smooth and groovy, then built into some serious energy. Sounded like we were pushing around the 140 mark by the end. Proper set.
Saturday was a bit more low-key after the Friday send. We popped into Mount Tavern and kept things more minimal, lower BPM; house grooves, just setting the vibe for a quieter, gloomy night.
Today I’ve braved the weather and headed into work, with Cyclone Vaianu rolling through and giving the region a proper shake. Managed to batten down the hatches at home beforehand, just hoping the cats haven’t torn the place apart while I’m out.
Stay safe in the weather and have a bloody good week.
Jaden
