HBDJ Weekly Update – Week 24

Hey team, another week down, and what a week it was.

Rooftop set, Rita’s round two, and a rough Sunday to wrap it up.

We kicked things off midweek when I flicked Aimee D a message to see if she was keen to do something a bit different. Within an hour, she’d lined up a rooftop set at Quest for Thursday. A last-minute roster change at the day job meant I could actually make it, so we got up there just in time for sunset.

Honestly… one of those special sets. Sun going down, city views, everyone on the same buzz. We recorded the whole thing - including drone footage, so keep an eye out for that dropping soon. It’s a good one.

Saturday we were back at Rita’s for a big night. Totally different vibe from the last time, much more vocal crowd and not shy with the requests. We rolled with it, worked a few in, and still kept the dance floor moving. I ducked out a bit earlier with a morning shift the next day, but from what I’ve heard the lads carried it through properly into the early hours.

Sunday… recovery mode. Woke up in a bit of a state and had to pull out of my shift, while Michael was back on the grind as usual. One of those days.

Looking ahead, we’ve got our second Open Decks of 2026 coming up next Friday, and a few more things brewing in the background.
