HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 44, Open Decks Annoucement

HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 44

Since the very beginning, Open Decks has been something we've been incredibly passionate about. Giving DJs a platform to showcase their talent, recording and uploading sets for everyone to enjoy, and creating those unforgettable moments on the dancefloor. The energy in the room at every event has always been something special.

We couldn't be more proud of what we've built together. But as they say, all good things eventually come to an end.

For the two of us, Open Decks has always been a passion project. It was initially started to give DJs in our region an opportunity to get behind the decks and play in front of a crowd. Looking around now, it's awesome to see how much the scene has grown. It feels like every event has a wildcard DJ slot, and new Open Decks-style events are popping up everywhere.

We'd like to think that seeing what we were doing inspired others to get involved and create their own opportunities. Honestly, that's exactly how we got started ourselves.

Now feels like the right time for one final Open Decks before we sign off... for now. Not forever.

You'll still find both of us around town playing at your favourite venues and events. This just gives us a little more time to focus on the ever-evolving thing we're all trying to figure out: life.

In all seriousness, we love DJing, we love events, and we love this community. So when the time is right, don't be surprised to see us back front and centre again.

To everyone who has played, attended, supported, shared a post, brought their mates along, or simply believed in what we were building…

Thank you.

Let's make this last one a night to remember. ❤️
