HBDJ Weekly Update - Week 32

Hey team, it’s Week 32.

Big week behind the scenes with a lot of planning going into Crown Control. We’ve been putting the final pieces together throughout the week, and tomorrow it all comes together with the official event announcement. Very excited to finally get this one out there.

Friday night was spent down at Totara Street. Michael was on door duties at Totara Street. I headed off on a bit of a mission around town, popping into a few spots to catch up with people and see what was happening around the scene. Eventually made my way back to Totara Street in time for Kelvin 373’s headline set.

Honestly, the amount of dubs the Born On Road crew have is ridiculous. Proper heavyweight tunes all night. Ended up being a very late one, think I finally crawled into bed around 6am.

Saturday night was spent back at Rita’s with just Connor and myself holding things down while Michael recovered from the night before. Busy little crowd in there and the vibes were solid for most of the evening. Unfortunately things wrapped up a bit earlier than planned after someone took a glass mug to the forehead. Never the ideal way to end a night but after the previous evening, I can’t say I was too upset to be heading home early.
